Monitor water damage repair

Hi guys,

Long story short, I accidentally spilled a (large) amount of water onto my monitor, mostly on the bottom. I quickly cleaned it off, but it seems like the water got into the cracks and is coming up under the screen. Here is a picture of what it looks like:

(Yes, Solaris 10).

While it does add a really cool affect to my monitor, I'd like to get it fixed. Does anyone know if this is repairable for less than buying a new 24" monitor?

I got my iPhone 5 water damaged in the past and this issue was solved by replacing the back-light.
These monitors are LED so I think technically they also have a back-light. But I'm not sure if you'll be able to disassemble the back-light in your monitor as I did with my iPhone 5. I'd recommend contacting the manufacturer for support.
