Monitor will go to sleep, Keyboard and mouse will stop working, but tower stays awake. Unable to wake up Monitor, Mouse, Etc.

My monitor will say its going to sleep, the keyboard and mouse will stop working but the tower itself will not go to sleep. When it does that I am unable to the monitor, keyboard, or mouse to come back on so I am forced to hard restart my computer. I do remember having a video card error message come up before this issue began. I did go onto the manufacturer's website and do the upgrade but it still does it. Is this my Video card going out? Help!?

Try giving your system the three-fingered salute (CTRL-ALT-DEL) when it does this, and see if that will wake it up.

I have tried that. Nothing happens.

Hmmm, does your system have a SSD in it? Some SSDs have trouble waking up. Go into your power settings and tell your drive to never sleep.

Im not sure what you mean by a SSD. However, I have gone into my settings told my computer to not go to sleep thinking that may be the issue. So technically it shouldn't even be going to sleep.

Try only power-cycling your monitor, not the whole PC; see if that solves your problem. The monitor may be where the problem is.

I have my computer settings at never sleep, no screen saver, nothing.

Hmmm, what are the rest of your system specs? Please include the brand and model (not just wattage) of your PSU. Thanks.
