[SOLVED] Monitor with DP1.2 vs DP1.4

Hello, I have a question about monitors and dp version.

I have an MSI GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER 8 GB VENTUS OC Video Card. It has 3 DP1.4 ports with max resolution of 7680x4320 (3 2k monitors, 2560x1440).

I'm looking at buying the U2717D (older model, less expensive) or the U2719D (newer model, more expensive) dell monitors. These monitors have basically the exact same specs. Except the U2719D (newer model, more expensive) has DP1.4, while the U2717D (older model, less expensive) has DP1.2.

Technically, the gpu can support both models. But, would there be any advantage to buying the U2719D (DP1.4, more expensive) vs the U2717D (DP1.2, less expensive)? Would the U2719D (DP1.4, more expensive) have better picture because it is running on DP1.4 rather than DP1.2?

I hope this makes sense!

Solution
Max res is per port so that's 3x 8k monitors not 3x 2k monitors. Dp 1.4 increased bandwidth and added hdr support(among other things) but those are not hdr monitors so all digital ports will look the same. You may want to look into what they improved from the 17 to 19 model but dp version is irrelevant.
