Question Monitor won’t come on unless I have projector on ? I’m running a Aorus. Elite ,ryzen 3800x ,

I’m running win 10 with aorus 2080 super GPU. I’ve a agon 1440p monitor connected via port cable.
ive a uhd projector connected via denon theatre system via hdmi .

if I have projector on all is good whether connected to pc or other device as long as projector is on my monitor works fine. if I disconnect hdmi my monitor works perfect but if hdmi is connected to pc and pj not on monitor won’t power up .ive tried changing default monitor to no avail .

I had an Intel 7500 with 1070 prior and there wasn’t an issue with setup .
any help gratefully received as this has stumped me .

Out of curiosity, did you reinstall the OS after the hardware change(CPU, motherboard, ram) if the Storage device was carried over from the previous build? By port cable, are you referring to display port? If so, what is the model for your AOC monitor?

I did a clean install .
i thought I found issue
i connected hdmi direct to pc and there was no issue ,I closed off direct pass through on denon then disconnected denon on gpu and it worked Temporarily then the same ,my arc is ag322qc4
