Monitor wont be detected

Hi! I just added a new discrete graphics card to my system, and I was hoping to do a dual monitor setup, but my problem is the vga on my motherboard no longer sends a signal to my monitor

but the monitor connected to my gpu is working fine

You need to connect your second monitor to your graphics card. Your on board graphics (the ports on your motherboard) will be disabled now you have a discrete GPU.
