Question monitor wont detect 120hz

So I have a fairly old monitor here that iv'e been trying to get set up. a ViewSonic VX2265wm. Been having a rough time getting it to run at 120 hz only to find that hdmi was most likely my issue. The monitor only has a dvi port and the laptop only has a display port and hdmi. Any help pointing me to the right cable that im looking for would be greatly appreciated.
