Hello. I just bought a gtx 1050 ti not too long ago and I have been having issues getting it working with my monitor. I put it in and plugged it into the monitor and nothing displayed so I tried my TV. It worked fine on the tv and I installed the latest drivers and it was working perfectly. Then I plugged it back into my monitor and it didnt work.
I tried simple things like unplugging and replugging power cords and the hdmi cord, and I also tried 2 other hdmi cords (one of them was brand new) and still no luck. Also, I tried resetting bios, taking the card back out and putting it in again, and deleting and reinstalling drivers. I tried buying a new monitor because I needed one anyways but that didnt work either.
So at some point later on, I was using my tv as my monitor because it still worked, and I unplugged the hdmi from the tv and put it into the monitor and it worked. Unfortunately, whenever I restart my computer now, the monitor wont display anything, so I have to turn off the computer, plug it into the tv, turn on the computer, go to the login screen, and then I unplug the hdmi and put it in back my monitor again for it to work. Any ideas why and how to get it so I dont have to do that?

Monitor: HP 27 -inch curved display
Graphics Card: gtx 1050 ti
Computer: Lenovo IdeaCentre K450

I tried two other hdmi cables. I dont have a dvi cable unfortunately, and I believe its an HP 27SC1 ‑ 27" Curved LED Monitor

I don't know exactly what is happening here, but I would try it via displayport . For whatever reason your video card is obviously not sending out the signal at startup, could be the card, but then your TV works. More likely it's the monitor and the interface might be bad... if a DP connection fixes it then you'll have an answer.

Yeah, I have no clue what the problem is. Ill have to try a DisplayPort cable and see what happens. I think the graphics card only has dvi though :/ I have tried taking it to Staples and BestBuy and they always plug it in and it works immediately and then they want me to buy something. Thanks for the help.
