Hi I'm creating this post regarding my friend who is the one actually having the problems. Recently he bought a AMD FX 6300 CPU and a 970 MSI MOBO. We spent a few hours trying to root out the problems he had but we're still not able to get the display to work. *Note I don't have contact with him in real life but I know he can read this post.
We're using a VGA cable with the monitor and a GTX 750 TI. We tried the monitor with other machines (a different computer) and it seemed to work. On the other hand when we tried his GPU with a TV using a HDMI cable and it gave no signal. So we sort of concluded that it was his GPU's problem but we're still not 100% sure and we don't know any way of testing it.
Some other solutions we tried were setting the input of the monitor to D SUB and reseating/repositioning ram (he only has one stick of ram with 8 gigabytes). Do note that whilst installing he did try to power up the pc without plugging his PSU cables into the 750 TI so I'm not sure if this has damaged the 750 TI or not.
Thank you in advance for any responses!
