Monitor won't stop flickering

The list below is my setup:
Asus VS247H Monitor
MSI GD-65 Motherboard
GTX 770 GPU
My monitor works just fine when connected to onboard GPU, but flickers a ton when connected to the GPU. Please help me resolve this issue.

could be a loose/damaged port causing the issues?

Couple of things to try:
1. make sure the GPU is fully seated in the PCIE slot.
2. Try a different type of cable. If you're using HDMI cable from the GPU to the monitor, try a DVI cable or vis-versa.
3. Try the GPU in another PC.

It works with the iGPU, I don't think the port is the issue.

Tried them all besides the DVI cable, as I don't have one with me right now, I'm gonna give it a try later.

Do you know what the monitor refresh is set to?

60 Hz, can the refresh rate be changed for this Monitor? Haven't come across any settings/options to change the refresh rate.

You monitor will have a maximum refresh, you can go lower the refresh in Windows in the nVidia Control Panel. The monitor reports to WIndows what refresh rates it supports. For instance mine has a maximum refresh of 60HZ, but it also supports 59 and 50 Hz. You can't change the refresh on the monitor, just in Windows. Does your monitor have an OSD? If so, does it look corrupted too?
