monitor wont turn on (cold start)

i have samsung syncmaster 740n lcd monitor. From past 2 days my monitor wont start for some reason,it just keeps blinking. But then after sometime say 15min,it turns on and works just fine for the whole day. This happens only in the mornings. To diagonize if it was from cpu, i tried removing the monitor cable from the cpu and turned on just the UPS hoping to get a dialog box that says no signal. But i didnt...so clearly its either the monitor or the cable thats faulty...so wat could i possibly do to fix it..i am yet to try on with new cables...anything else that i should do?

Power capacitors are giving way. It's time you got it checked by a samsung techie, he is most probably going to replace a small faulty pcb from inside with a new one.
