Monitor wont turn on with graphics cards

I have a gt220 and gtx 650 graphics card both work just fine. When i turn on my computer with either graphics card my monitor wont turn on. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't I think it's my motherboard because i have tried both in my desktop and the fans work and everything for sure. I just don't know why my monitor wont turn on when i try either card. nothing is wrong the hdmi cable or monitor either. I have tried just about everything. I have not had success with the gtx650 because of the monitor not turning on but the gt220 works for certain but the fan on it sometimes doesnt move so i have to tap it to get it moving. but i dont think thats the issue.

i did it is for sure not the monitors/cables its something with the graphics card or motherboard but i dont know
