Monitor won't work with Graphic card.

I have a GTX 960 and I've tried hooking up my monitor every way but still wont pick up the connection. I have a VGA cable and DVI to VGA adapter to work with. Any ideas how to fix?

The problem has been solved. I just need to use a DVI-D cable to the monitor.
