Hello everyone. Thank you in advance for your help.
So before I go into my issue, I would like to note that I have had ZERO problems dual monitoring in the past with these two monitors.
I used to (And still do) have a very average PC that currently runs a Radeon 6850 HD graphics card. (Let's call this computer PC 1) I usually have this PC dual monitored with my flat screen TV so I can watch movies with my wife and then the second monitor for standard PC stuff. (It's also nice to play a video from my PC on the big screen while I play a game on my standard monitor lol) The TV uses the HDMI port on my graphics card and second monitor uses the standard VGA port on the graphics card.
Well I recently built another system and that system has a Geforce GTX 560 and a way better processor and ram. (We will call this computer PC 2) I then I dual monitored this PC (PC 2) with two standard monitors as well in the office, and had NO problems..
Well I decided to switch the systems with my monitors since I felt the more powerful PC (PC 2) should be connected to my flat screen since I multitask more on it. I first noticed newer PC (PC 2) had a mini HDMI port, but didn't worry too much because I had an adapter..
Well, I plugged the HDMI, which lead from the flat screen TV into "PC 2" and everything was fine. Desktop showed up and everything... WELL, as soon as I plugged in my second standard monitor into the VGA, the flat screen completely lost signal.. I then looked in my display settings and for some reason, it said it was detected, however for some reason, it still wouldn't pick up the signal.. Even when I tried to make the flat screen the primary monitor, it still wouldn't show. The ONLY time the flat screen (With the HDMI) would work and show the desktop or ANY signal for that matter, is if it was the ONLY monitor plugged in. If I was only using my flat screen TV as my only and main monitor, it works fine.. However, as soon as I plug in another monitor, it loses signal..
I also want to note I have all up to date drivers for my graphics card as well.. My older PC "PC 1" uses Windows 7 and my newer PC "PC 2" uses Windows 10.
I've never experienced this before. Anyone care to share any advice if you have any? Thanks again for the help!
