So recently my pc crashed and somehow something happened to my video drivers and my pc booted in a really low resolution, reinstalled my graphics driver and everything went back to normal except nvidia control pannel says that my monitor's native resoltion is 1024x768, but my monitor's true native resolution is 1920x1080, also when i right click and go to display settings, it detects resolutions as high as 2560x1600 but when I try to use it it's out of reach, and before that it didn't detect any resolution higher than 1920x1080
What's wrong?

Get rid of the VGA cable. Settings may stick to what was most recently set, but a crash can invalidate those settings...then it wants to know what is actually attached. Does the monitor support something other than VGA?

For the video card to query the monitor you'll need to use one of those other types. Not VGA.
