Question monitor

240 hertz monitor randomly started to just stop working eg blank screen, hdmi works but only allows me to go to 120 hz and just tonight also, headset, speakers will not work only monitor speakers? ive tried reinstalling drivers etc but it does not work. any ideas?

Is it a freesync monitor? If it is a freesync monitor then try doing a clean gpu driver installation using ddu. Could be a faulty port or could be something internal. Did it suddenly happen? Or did you make any changes?

yea pretty sure its freesync, ill try what you suggested. yea just suddenly happened. i overclocked the gpu by a small amount a few days before it happened made sure temps were ok etc its a rtx 2070.

Well then roll back the changes you made and check if it fixes the issue. And does your freesync monitor support the nvidia? What i mean to say is that can you utilise that freesync or not?

changing the ports worked for the graphic card im back to 240hz. i reinstalled sound drivers so that all works now too. didnt need to go back to stock gpu settings. thanks for your help
