First I would like to say this is my first pc build I ever did. I researched what kind of build I would like to do and got all these parts:

Asus Z170 Pro Gaming/Aura mobo
Gigabyte AORUS XTREME GeForce GTX 1060 6G 9 Gbps GPU
EVGA SuperNOVA 750w G2 gold psu
Corsair Vengeance RGB LED 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3000 Intel 100/200 Series Ram
Intel Core i7 6700K 4.00 GHz Unlocked Quad Core
Thermaltake green/black sleeved cable kit extensions
Thermaltake green LED 120mm x 5 fans
corsair hydro series H100i v2
Corsair 450d case

I triple checked everything was plugged in correctly and I made sure I had all updates and drivers up to date ( which I do ) and about 5 times now my computer randomly will crash for no reason some times after 30 min, to 5 hours after I power it on. My monitors, keyboard, and mouse turn off but my computer, leds, and fans are still on as if nothing happened.

I had corsair link, Aorus graphics card software controlling fans ( had them at 60% fan which was around 1,500 RPMs... the gpu was at 46 degrees celcius, the cpu was at 20-25 degrees celcius.

I was playing the division and fallout 4 and sometimes only on youtube, and it just crashes!

Looking at my cpu frequency now, it goes from 803.7 MHz to 1004.4MHz to 4000+
my CPU core voltage currently is .800v and thats with this tab open and spotify but it goes up to 1.4v if I'm playing a video game. Current cpu temp is 26 degrees Celsius. ( I'll be honest.. I'm not really sure what any of this means I'm just telling you what my monitoring software says for some more helpful info)

Not sure what else I should be looking for, or if I should set up something in bios as this is my first build I did all by myself. If someone can help me or guide me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

first thing I noticed is that you have a 6th gen CPU with DDR4-3000 Ram.

looking up specification :
4 x DIMM, Max. 64GB, DDR4 3466(O.C.)/3400(O.C.)/3333(O.C.)/3200(O.C.)/3100(O.C.)/3000(O.C.)/2933(O.C.)/2800(O.C.)/2666(O.C.)/2600(O.C.)/2400(O.C.)/2133 MHz Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory
* Due to Intel® chipset limitation, DDR4 2400MHz memory frequency is only supported by 7th Generation Intel® processors. Higher memory modules will run at the maximum transfer rate of DDR4 2400MHz.
** Due to Intel® chipset limitation, DDR4 2133MHz and higher memory modules on 6th Generation Intel® processors will run at the maximum transfer rate of DDR4 2133MHz.

most will say that isn't an issue the ram will down speed to 2133. can you run speccy and tell use what the ram says there ? I am also curious if in your bios/uefi if your xmp is enabled. (even though it should not be using it... checking is mother of making sure)

I looked in the Bios and xmp is disabled and mostly everything else is default settings like,
Ai overclock tuner - enabled ( which is heard wasnt really stable ? )
DRAM voltage 1.208v auto
Hyper threading enabled

Cpu speed says 4000 MHz
Memory frequency says 2133MHz in bios.

I opened Speccy and it says this:

I hope this was helpful!

I had the computer on for 15 hours yesterday and It didnt crash once, I had it on for a little over 5 hours now and no crash yet. Maybe It needed a breaking in period?

haha meaning the computer figured out what it was doing wrong and found a solution ? I'm keeping a log next to me to see what I was doing at the time of the crash. but it hasnt crashed in over 24 hours so thats good so far.
