I got a new cpu and mobo. (i5 4690k and z97 extreme4) I clean installed windows today, got newest geforce drivers, and downloaded counter-strike. Since I upgrade my cpu I have been having frequent crashes where both my monitor and tv say Input not supported. I tried booting into safe mode and changing my res and refresh rate to the native but it still crashes. I have the acer gn246hl 144hz 1080p gaming monitor.

Solution
make sure the mb has the newest bios file. in the bios make sure ram xmp profile is on. under priamny display make sure it not auto. if it is the onboard or the gpu can be the main video output. set it to peg/pci. then also look for muilt monitor support. this is the intel ipgpu. make sure it off. in window make sure the newest intel chipset driver is installed.
Both are 1920x1080. The tv is 60hz and the monitor is 144hz. They are confirmed to be running this when im in game.

How are running the system with a Pci-e based card in it.

Or using the Onboard Video solution of the motherboard.

Have you made sure the if the onboard video solution is disabled if using a Pci-e based card.
And that the video driver for motherboard onboard is disabled or uninstalled ?

It may be the cause.

It`s about all I can think of to have a look at.
It may be switching from one to the other if both drivers are running.

My 960 is the only display adapter enabled
