Hello. I am looking to buy a new monitor for gaming(at most), some programming and movies sometimes. My budget is around 170$.
I have found some "nice" (in my opinion) ASUS monitors(like VE248HR, VX238H, etc.) and LG 24M47VQ-P and Samsung, but I don't know if I should buy it or no.
Everything looks good at that ASUS, but their release date si few years ago. Should I care it have been release 4-5 years ago ?

I also saw IPS monitors, but .. don't know.
Should I choose IPS or TN or ?

I wish you will can help me. Thank you.

The only thing I don't like for IPS is that all monitors in my budget are with 5ms GTG response time. I read that is too much for gaming because is 10+ BTB, but.. I don't know. This is what I read.

Thank you for your reply.

Yeah, it's a trade-off. I was saying that in general, IPS>TN. It really comes down to personal preference. Go with low response time and TN than high response time and IPS. The ROG SWIFT is the only exception, I think, but it's also really expensive (about $650 USD)
