When I turn on my computer it starts to log on but then the monitor says it is out of range what should I do?

Start up your machine in either safe mode or VGA mode so the display settings are lowered to within range of any monitor, 640x480 @ 16 colors. Once you get back to desktop you can adjust them to where you want them (within the monitors specs of course).
Hit f8 right before windows starts to load to select vga or safe mode.
