Hi,

the Arreat Summit lists some monsters to have 110 resist to an element,
e.g. Balrogs have 110 resist to fire in hell difficulty.

Is this the same as "fire immune" in the game? Will they be shown as
"fire immune"? If it's not the same as fire immune, can they be hurt by
fire, and how much will it damage them?

Monster with 110 fire resist will indeed show as a fire immune. The '110'
just refers to the total amount of fire resist. This means that if you cast
a lower resist curse on a fire immune monster, it might or might not remain
fire immune, depending how high the original resist was.

Yes, it means they're fire immune. The exact number is important, because
you can break some immunities with high-enough level of Lower Resists
(necro curse) or paladin's Conviction aura.

And another reason, if solo-ing is your game, to at least pack an item
with lower resist charges in your stash. 😉

The number of monsters which keep their original immunities after being
hit with a Lvl 2 Lower Resist charge are rather low in my experience...
