That's not what you said you did. You said you first started the Fax Wizard
from the Start menu. That won't work because you can't attach a document to
those faxes. Only a cover page fax can be sent that way.
Then you said you used Send To > Fax Recipient from Word. That won't work
because the Word Developers failed to connect this utility to the XP Fax
program correctly.
What I said to do was use the Print command in Word. Then choose Fax as your
Printer.
