Here we go,

I just bought a gtx 770 gpu upgraded from an ATI 6000 series.

I have a tx650 corsair power supply.

The 770 card has a female 8 pin slot and a 6 pin slot, my power supply has the 6pinx2. The 770 comes with an adapter from 2x 6pins to an 8 pin. If i plug both of my 6 pins in to the 8 pin adapter i still have a 6 pin slot open on my card. what do i do?

TX650 should have 2 6+2 pin PEGs. Use the 6 pin portion of one, and both the 6pin and 2pin of the other. Don't forget to COMPLETELY uninstall the AMD drivers BEFORE you run the 770. Get current drivers from the Nvidia web site - do NOT use the drivers on the disc.
