More memory being used than whats being specified??

So, over the past few weeks, my ram has been playing up. Altogether, users are using 6gb ram and it's showing up as 72%?!?!?!?!? I have 16gb ram but most of the time, i get to >90% memory usage which makes my pc unresponsive sometimes and my games to lag. Can anyone help me?

Run resmon and hit the memory tab, and see the RAM usage breakdown at the bottom. You're looking for something like this:




If Windows is reporting less than 16GB 'installed' RAM, run CPUID and see memory tab (size box) for reported total RAM, and SPD tab and which slots are reporting RAM, and how much in each.
