More or faster RAM

Is more ram or faster RAM better for gaming? At the min I have 32gb, 2x cosair vengeance 1800mhz and 2x cosair vengeance pro 2400mhz. So my question is would I be better removing the slower ram and just keep the 2400mhz. Thanks

reducing to 16GB at 2400MHz ? yea probably better for gaming.
unless youre doing the ramdisk trick, theres no need for 32GB running games.

For gaming, as long as you got 8gb it is enough. 16gb is future proof, and 32gb is overkill. Faster memory helps, I'd reduce to 2400MHz, single pair.

In your case getting faster RAM is the answer, 32GB is already overkill so increasing it still further will yield no improvement because it simply wouldn't get used by any of today's games. They'll only use what they need, and none of them need that much.

Most games use less than 8GB of ram. Some are using more and possibly more will in the future. But 16GB is definitely enough for today's and future games in terms of ram usage.

Faster ram speed will mainly become noticeable when gaming whilst the CPU is the current limiting factor.
