So i have an issue with my asus hero vii where it will only turn on via the motherboard start button, also I cant install win 7 on it using the disc aa i keep having to "turn it off and restart"...

You have it in the case? if so make sure you have the right pins connected for the power switch and rest button easy to get them crossed.. You should have a booklet that came with the board to show you where they go....

I stripped it down and it turns out the cables had completely detached themselves. All fixed now!
