More powerful USB network adapter?

I'm looking to get a new adapter to replace this one. The reason for this is because I'm pretty far from my router (30 feet direct line) I only get about 40 mbps on my current adapter, but when I connect through ethernet I get 80 mbps. I already tried a PCI-E card and I am clearly way too far to be using one. For around $25 - $35, is there a better USB adapter I can get?

look online for high powered usb and pci wifi cards there 500mw and up in power.
