More ram, more fps?

So my problem is that games has started to lag more often now, im thinking of buying 8 rams to add to my already 4 rams.

PC Specs:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
AMD Athlon II X4 640 Processor, 3000 Mhz
4GB of Ram
Gigabyte GA-870A-UD3

What do I need to increase my fps? Is buying more ram enough, the motherboard is able to run 16 gbs of ram so. And if im gonna buy more ram, what kind?

No not more ram. You are posting in the graphics card section, which means you need a better GPU. You need to upgrade your GPU to get more fps.
