More RAM = Slower Computer?

Today I added 8GB of RAM to my system, going from 8GB to 16GB. I have noticed 2 things that are bugging me: My keyboard has an occasional delay with simple things like delete, num pad and ctrl-c/ctrl-v and in Photoshop there is a delay in my actions (the cursor moves when I move, but whatever I'm doing ghosts behind the cursor).

I have searched out for other posts about this and they all seem to be about Windows load time, but I haven't noticed any problem with load time. I would think more RAM would decrease little things like this, not slow them down.

I will edit this post with a CPU-z screenshot of timings. Thanks in advance for your help!

Okay I'll give that a go. I've never messed with changing anything with RAM, only my CPU. Any tutorial you can point me to that goes over where I make these changes would be great, otherwise I'm sure I can figure it out. I'll let you know once these changes are made.

Yes it was in ASUS's BIOS. There are many different voltages I can tweak and just wanted to confirm so I don't tweak the wrong one. Please see image below... these are stock values (not overclocking right now). CPU/NB Offset Voltage is the one I will change to 1.25 correct? The DRAM voltage is pretty straight forward.

I noticed that my current memory frequency, according to the BIOS, is 1600MHz already. This is set to AUTO but I can manually select 1600 MHz as well as go in and change all timings manually.

Please confirm and I'll make the changes.

Okay DRAM voltage is up from 1.50 to 1.55 and I have manually set the timings to 9-10-9-28. Should I also increase the CPU/NB voltage up to 1.25? I have watercooling on my cpu and active cooling on my NB so I'm not worried about it getting too hot. Are there any tests I can run to see if this changed anything besides just playing in Photoshop looking for lags?

I've let these setting run for a few days now and I haven't noticed any delays like before. Thanks for your help!
