[SOLVED] More RAM?

Hello. Someone told me that it will be not very much different if I upgrade the RAM.

Current setup:

Ryzen 5 3600
ADATA M.2 PCIe SX8200 Pro
Gainward GeForce GTX 1660
Crucial 2x8GB 3000MHz Ballistix Sport LT Gray CL15
MSI B450-A PRO MAX

What is your opinion? Would RAM upgrade make any sense?

If yes, which RAM I must I buy? Now I can't buy same type and brand as above so can it be a little different?

Can you elaborate on what that someone told you with regards to things being very much different ? Your current specs look alright though I'm curious what do you do with your PC?

If the RAM usage is not constantly hitting up against the capacity, adding more is not going to help. It's like if you went grocery shopping: if you're not filling up a cart or a basket, is adding another going to help?

If you are in a situation where RAM usage is constantly hitting the capacity and you'd like to add more RAM, as long as it has the same specifications as much as possible, it should be fine.

Can you elaborate on what that someone told you with regards to things being very much different ? Your current specs look alright though I'm curious what do you do with your PC?

Sometimes video editing with VirtualDub, and converting output by HandBrake. Very much diffrent for me will be at least two times quicker speed of the converting and "full processing mode" saving in VD.

My wife have this for the Video Games.

No amount of RAM would help that much, I'm doing those jobs just fine with 16GB. never fills up.
