Question More Than 2 Optical DVD Drives?

Greetings from South Africa.
I have recently been transferring CDs at home. Going through old photos etc.
I really wanted to get the job done faster and have installed an extra 2 DVD drives onto my desktop, making a total of 4. I am running windows 8 (my spare PC, I hate windows 8).
But only 2 DVD drives appear, even when I put disks in all 4.
Is it possible that PCs only support up to 2 DVD drives?

it should support as many drives as you have sata ports to plug them into.

have you tried other ports on the mobo? often ports get disabled when you use other features like m.2 drives, extra pcie slots and so on. not knowing anything about your system specs, i can't make any more specific suggestions
