Hey guys, firstly sorry I've really got limited knowledge in this department. Have identified where my computer's been struggling but don't back myself to fix it so was hoping someone here could help me out.

So firstly noticed a couple months ago that my computer randomly started performing a lot worse on games, (mainly PUBG) so I went to task manager and instantly noticed my memory seemed suspect.

I have 8 GB ram installed. (G.Skill 8GB Kit (2x4GB) DDR3 Ripjaws X C9 1600MHz) Yet I seem to only have 4GB(ish) working. Anyway here are screenshots

I thought I could live with it but I miss my beast, so any help is appreciated, ask for info if needed.

Thanks
Matt

I think the latest windows 10 version is 1709. However, I don't think that will resolve the issue. It's just a note, if you do end up doing an OS reset you'll want to update fully before fixing your installed programs.

It's very odd, I think, for a stick of ram to fail in this way. Normally, a bad stick of ram would prevent the system from POSTing. If it completely blacked out, as if not installed, then I'd expect the system to show that only 4gb was installed. This looks like a hidden background task is sucking up your RAM. When was the last time you ran a virus scan? What program did you use?
^ yes it's 64bit!

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. List them like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:

Have you made sure you're on the latest BIOS revision? You're on Windows 10, I'm suspecting an OS corruption. See if a repair install fixes things.

they put pics in the post after i posted my question
