I heard a lot of comments says that 1gb gddr5 is better than 2gb gddr3,when do we actually need more vram?

Solution
Google "VRAM" - there are many websites with information and explanation.

For example:

http://pc4u.org/guide-how-much-vram-do-i-need-for-gaming-is-2gb-vram-enough/

However, the answer is that more vram is necessary when video/graphics performance is suffering and nothing else seems to fix it.

I.e., the existing Vram is the bottleneck. But there are other factors and the bottleneck may just occur somewhere else and limit any real gains that otherwise may have been possible.

hello frostEX7,

according to my opinion memory should be faster like ddr5 because more vram is used for playing at higher resolutions, Multi sampling, anti aliasing etc (fxaa, msaa etc) and this can be only done if coupled with powerful cpu and ram.
Depending on the GPU and the game or application running, most graphics cards will never reach even close to the limit of their dedicated memory anyway...unless you make them by using high res, fxaa, msaa etc.

however i am in middle of it - i have a 2gb ddr5 graphics card.... :pt1cable:

so it depends on needs of individual. :bounce:

here in this link you can see vram on different settings like 1080p res, fxaa, msaa, 4k etc.
it will give you a little glimpse that how much vram increases when these settings are applied.
