Mortal Kombat X BLACK SCREEN ERROR..

I recently installed mkx on my pc. The story mode works fine but when i try to play single player or 2 player , the screen goes black after character select and nothing happens. plz help

pentium dual core @ 3.0ghz
amd r7 250 1 b ddr5
6 gb ram
