Mortal Kombat X running slowly all of a sudden

So I've owned Mortal Kombat X for about 6 months now, and up until now I've been able to run it maxed out at 60 fps with no problems. Then about 2 days ago, I try launching the game and all of a sudden gameplay is running at 19-20 fps MAX.

At first I thought my graphics card might've died or something, but upon running the Heaven Benchmark it seems to be running as normal. I booted up several other games, and they all work fine except for MKX. I have no idea what's going on, can anyone help?

That rig can play Mortal Kombat X at great frame rate (no less than 50 fps) and since it ran at 60fps, you need to check, if:
1.You got the game patched recently?
2.Installed a new graphics driver ?
3.Changed the GPU speed settings in Zotac Firestorm or Speedfan?

Also, open up Task manager to see the all processes running while Mortal Kombat is running. If you see CPU and RAM utilization too high, Might well be a virus that's corrupted some game files for MK X.
