I wish I had unlocked pre Pub 9. Doing the professions wasn't bad at all
and it allowed me to experience most of the profession choices.
Now, for a "newbie" that gets access to the Village, you'll find out just
how long and hard the road is to Initiate. The bare minimum amount of FS xp
required to complete 6 FS branches is 7,450,000. If you have two master
elite professions and can max out both (900k xp) in a buff session, that's
120k FS xp. Just over 62 straight days of constant grinding. Unless you
can sit through 2 or even 3 buff sessions a day to get the xp faster.
Nevermind the fact you must wait 15 weeks to do the quests to unlock all 6
branches. Good thing is that while you wait for the next phase, you can
always bank the FS xp for when you do unlock a branch, you can start to fill
it up right away.
