There are many important things a motherboard needs, but what is the most important?
For me, it has to be RGB integration. Why? Because my awesome EVGA Z270 FTW K Mobo has everything I need BUT that!!! 😉
Oh ya, a couple more usb2 headers would help seeing as I have to go with a totally stand alone RGB solution.

I totally agree with you! I was being a little silly seeing as I already have great stability from my EVGA motherboard. I just think it's odd that they didn't add any option to have onboard controlled RGB, but I suppose that would either mean they would have had to create their own RGB tech, or license another board manufacturers tech. At any rate EVGA does make fantastic hardware and I have been really happy with everything I have purchased from them.

I get it, a lot of people don't like the RGB craze going on these days. I think it's pretty cool. If I was given a choice like you mentioned above between the two mobo's, I would pick the one with RGB capabilities so I at least I had the choice. With my motherboard, there is no choice. But I totally respect your opinion! Take care dude!

The most important thing is the socket and chipset. If it does not support the CPU you want to use then it is a waste of time.

Will it fit in my case?

Then does it have enough slots for RAM, peripheral cards and usb?

Does it have enough usb3 ports?

Does it have any usb c ports?

Can I afford it?
