Discussion Most news articles are still lacking comment threads!

I've found the quality of the journalism slipping, by long-term writers for this site, presumably because they know that readers cannot take them to task.

Now that news comments seem to be fixed, why are they still missing from most articles? I'm literally getting to the point where I don't even want to read articles that lack comment threads.

The latest example I've seen is from yesterday: https://www.tomshardware.com/news/intel-roadmap-comet-lake-client,39185.html

It's not just news, it's also reviews.

https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/raspberry-pi-vpn-gateway,6103.html

Anecdotally, it seems to depend on the author. Perhaps that means it needs to be done explicitly per article, and some authors are not doing it for whatever reason.

I don't understand why each item doesn't have a link to the forum when they all have links to Facebook, Twitter, Flipboard, Reddit, Stumbleupon, and Share (which allows you to add comments about the item on about 50 websites, none of which are Tom's Hardware). How hard is it to make a big red circle with a white "T" in the middle that allows you to post the item to Tom's Hardware. Make it first and slightly bigger, then add it to that huge list that is already there.

You mean here?

It's great that it has a comment thread, but why isn't it linked from the article?

...and why is it in the networking forum, instead of News Comments (where I've learned to look for the comment threads that do exist)?
