[SOLVED] most optimal performance upgrade

this is what i have right now for specs.
motherboard: A320M PRO-VH PLUS (MS-7BO7)
memory: DDR4 8GB only one stick of ram
graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB
cpu: AMD Ryzen 5 2600x Six-Core Processor

wondering what would be the best upgrade to increase fps for gaming.

new motherbaord and 2x8gb of ram at 3200 Mhz, you will get great full hd performance.

1. add one more 1x8GB
2. add an ssd, if you do not have it yet
3. upgrade the gpu to 2070 , if your psu still strong enough

Note: 2600x is still very good, no sense on upgrading the mainboard.

is it ok if the brand is different for the ram sticks?

Your motherboard will hold you back regarding ram speed. No it is not ok to be different brand, you must buy a kit of 2 stick which is sold in teh same package (called dual channel kit)

The difference of RAM speed influenced by mobo is not that noticeable, you can simply leave it as it is and use the budget for something else.

Cheaper mobos are notorious known by not being able to achieve high ram speed, ryzen needs very badly at least 3000 mhz ram. For now my advice is to buy ram if they cannot be ran at full speed then also change mobo. Also this mobo has crap VRMs, so no OC to this processor which is a free performance boost.
OP Next time dont buy 300$ CPU and cheapest motherboard on the market.

It does not really matter which bran to make it compatible.
PSU capacitiy is the more important thing to pay attention to.
