For handheld gaming systems, I typically use this SanDisk professional model and have had great results with their reliability and performance. The 1TB SanDisk Extreme is my current go-to for its fast speeds and ample capacity.
Most handhelds seem to support up to 1TB cards, though sometimes larger 2TB cards may work as well. I think 1TB is the sweet spot right now between optimized performance and giving you plenty of room for games and storage.
Using a card with more capacity than the handheld supports can still help maximize the card's longevity and wear leveling, even if the full size isn't utilized. The extra space allows the memory controller to better distribute writes across the card
