Question Most stable driver for R9 280X?

Hi, what's the most stable driver for R9 280X? On Adrenalin 20.72, my clock speed high at %0 load and that makes GPU run hotter.

There is a lot of wise people around this community but,they are 100% wrong on this issue, and I can chime in with some advice.

with the latest drivers I had insane issues running games couldn't wrap my head around.

going back to a latter version helped a lot.

One tip is to check what bitcoin miners like to run on this card

they really use 15.2.1 or a little later...

it lets you use afterburner better. controlling voltage and more..

18.3.3 comes up a lot too

id say anything pre adrenaline will work because thats when i started having serious issues. IMHO but cant guarantee.

however w10 will install latest whql.

use ddu if on w10 disable ur network device

then install the older driver.

also im looking at used 580 as a solid upgrade its more than twice the performacne.

I think people just dont reallize how old this chipset is.. tahati has been around forever. its amazing its still relevant.

the standard advice of latest stable is best would normally apply but not on a 8 year old gpu chip set
