What is the most unbalanced PC build you have ever seen? @Avro Arrow mentioned a youtube who built a PC with an (IIRC) i9-13900k, and an RX 580.
even worse a Celeron D and a 4090. And I thought my Celeron N3350 was bad for gaming.A LGA 775 Pentium 4 with an RTX 4090 would be something.
That may not be all bad as long as you are using server CPUs with decently high clocks or you are able to overclock them.Any standard desktop build using a server motherboard with multiple CPUs EVER!
The problem with that is, the vast majority of consumer software cannot utilize 2x CPU.That may not be all bad as long as you are using server CPUs with decently high clocks or you are able to overclock them.
Too many to remember. With that said the worst builds usually are peeps that want all white everything + RGB and SFF builds. I've seen peeps with a $2000+ budget end up with $150+ in fans and something like a RTX 3060 for 1440 or even 4K while telling everyone it's a gaming build. Same goes for those SFF builds that are an oxymoron to gaming builds. Those are the ones who complain later on it's a hotbox while telling peeps they don't have room for a mid tower case. Unless they live in a refrigerator box ... I'm pretty sure they can find the room. What is the most unbalanced PC build you have ever seen? @Avro Arrow mentioned a youtube who built a PC with an (IIRC) i9-13900k, and an RX 580.
Definitely. They spend all the cash on the case with the bling but nothing on the inside but parts they stole from an on Optiplex. While I'm at it over priced motherboards for middling cpus and a mid level budget. Throw in over priced cases while your at it. Those peeps usually end up with a crappy build.
Makes me wonder if those peeps actually own a monitor or if they just stare at their PC all day.Definitely. They spend all the cash on the case with the bling but nothing on the inside but parts they stole from an on Optiplex.
It's the RGB they spent $1000 on with the case....Makes me wonder if those peeps actually own a monitor or if they just stare at their PC all day.
$450 in fans, and then the question here: "Do I need more fans?"It's the RGB they spent $1000 on with the case....
But of course....They clearly forgot the cowbell. Nice to see ya again USAFRet.$450 in fans, and then the question here: "Do I need more fans?"

maybe my memory is off, but aren't those similarly aged and compared? wouldn't seem that "unbalanced" as this thread suggests.IS3 trio 64v+ (Rev. E) card with 512 KB VRAM, combined with a Sempron 2800+ o.c.'d to 1.95 GHz.
S3 Trio isn't even a 3D card. And give or take nearly a decade older than the Sempronmaybe my memory is off, but aren't those similarly aged and compared? wouldn't seem that "unbalanced" as this thread suggests.

even worse, spending $450 on one fan and then have 4 of them. There was a video by LTT a while ago that showcased them using some kind of industrial fan that costs $450 each. not that you would be able to use more than one of them without blowing the pc off the desk. I can't find the video but I think I remember what fan it was. it was this: Vasy Fan VF-390. (I could be wrong)$450 in fans, and then the question here: "Do I need more fans?"
