Mother board does not get the power

my Gigabyte GA-H61M-D2P-B3 Mother board when connected to power supply HIPRO HP-D3057F3R mother board does get the power .My power supply does not have a problem. Keeping the PS on and connecting 4 pin power connector to MB is fine and ten if i try to connect 24 pin power connector to MB i see the green Light in PS goes off .What would be the problem

From what I read, you are plugging it in while it is on.

This PSU is 300 watts. If all of your hardware exceeds more than 200 watts, I would not try this PSU, and buy new one with more wattage.

Please try to do it in this order:
-Disconnect any wall outlet power to the power supply.
-Connect the 4 pin CPU power, then the 24 pin motherboard power.
-Plug in the power supply.
-Press the on button.

If you still have no luck, your PSU is most likely dead, and I would recommend buying a more reliable one.

I knew that is not the right way to connect the PSU.It was working for couple of year now.All of sudden the power will not turn on.That is what i found while connecting my 24 pin connector the power goes off.
you think PSU with more watts will work .makes sense to me i will try that out
