Mother board help

hello i recently bought a new motherboard (z170a gaming m7), processor (intel i3-7100) and ram (GB MICRO 8GB DDR4 DIMM 2400 MHZ) and when i start my pc is doesnt go to my display ive tried moving the ram and googling stuff and some people say i need new ram im not sure though just want to come on here to check if anyone knows whats going on the error codes i get are 55 4c 19 at the bottom i dont know much about ram or anything

no you dont need new ram you need a bios update , for that you need a 6th gen intel cpu ( that cpu is 7th gen) , like the i3 6100.

just bring your motherboard to a store and let them do that for you.

Is there any way i can do it myself and if not will it cost money?

That motherboard has "BIOS FLASHBACK+ port".

Instructions on its use are in motherboard manual. The MSI USB Flashback+ feature that you can use with a bare bones setup where the CPU, memory, and GPU do not need to be installed.

But i have no display i cant do it without a display

update, ive tried doing that but when i push the flashback button the flashback led doesnt change or do anything and nothing happens

You need a display, use your tv for instance.

get an empty 8 gb usb or bigger.

remove the cpu from your pc and the ram and graphics card.

now go to another pc and put this on your usb : https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/Z170A-GAMING-M7#down-bios
than download this version : 7976v1I

after this you can add the cpu ram and graphics card and it should work.

I did all that and the flashback led flashed 3 times but still no display i tried again but it just flashes 3 times and doesnt do anything

It was a guess didnt know if it was possible.

so .... bring it to a store and let them flash it for you this costs 10 euros.
im actually suprised youget an i3 with a top quality mobo.

I updated the BIOS but still getting the 4c and 55 error codes on the bottom of the mobo i think it might be the ram im not sure though

55 means no ram installed indeed, so that means your ram isn't compatible. if you inserted it correctly.
