Mother Board Limits

I have an old Emachine ET1161-07 Desk Top tower and want to upgrade my RAM. My computer says I have 3.0 GB of RAM already installed.However I have seen a patch that can be installed that will allow you to install just about any amount of RAM that you want. Does anyone know of this patch and is it true ?

I never heard of any such patch. The amount of RAM a system can address is usually set by the motherboard/chipset/CPU. What is the RAM limit on your machine as per the manual?

It's called the PAE TOOL and it allows you to use up to 8 GB's of RAM in a 32 bit system.

Yes, thats to fake the OS into working.
The motherboard, however, still might not.

That's why I'm asking you guys out in this community if you've ever heard of this PAE TOOL, PATCH or maybe you have tried it and found that it may have actually worked. What about using part of your SSD or hard drive to back up a portion of your RAM ? Ever heard of using this way of creating more memory to be used as RAM ? ( Btw, thank you for all of your input on this, just trying to see if any of this is possible without actually going out & buying a new computer ).
