Here is my rig:

intel 8700k , 16gb kings ram , 250gb ssd samsumg, noctua u12s, corsair rm850x, gtx 1080
I will use it for programming. And I may buy 2 gtx 1080 for Machine Learning.

I wont overclock. My main concern is durability (althought the bios Flashback and extra 4-pin conector in msi pleases me either ).

I see some people complaining on mSI quality control. But the MSI motherboard seems more robust to me.

And I was readingt the RMA return rate in Hardware.fr
"Les taux de retour des composants (S2 2016)" -- there are other dates too.

ASUS shows RMA rate in the first year something like 2 percent ( z270/z170/z97)
MSI varies from 2 to 4 percent.

Comparing the numbers, sometimes its twice as much.

I think that in 5 years the difference could be bigger....

What is your opinion? Is it MSI really more likely to fail in in the long-term ?
Do you have another extra-opinion that you could give me about the motherboard?

thx in advance....

First, if you see many people complaining about a brand, is always a bad sign. Even if it looks more robust to you.
The RMA returns on that web page, might be miss leading.
As some brands have more number of boards at lower price ranges which usually have higher return rates.
But their normal range / high end rates are as good as asus.

My suggestion match Zerk, Extreme 4 is pretty good as said.
