Mother board to handle tri-fire HD6970 2gb card

Im buying a set up to do infinity on three 24 inch monitors I just purchased. I've been buying parts little by little and already got the three monitors HAF932 case, i7-2600k processor, 2tb hard drive, 16 gigs mem and haven't been able to decide on a mother board to run tri fire hd6970 2 gb cards. I will buy two at the begining and over 6 months add the third.

What are you going to be doing that requires 3 HD6970 cards? You should be able to run Eyefinity on three displays with a single HD6970. According to AMD Website ( http://www.amd.com/us/products/desktop/graphics/amd-radeon-hd-6000/hd-6970/Pages/amd-radeon-hd-6970-overview.aspx#2 ) each 6970 card could support upt to 4 displays in eyefinity and up to 6 displays using Displayport 1.2 connections.

Not saying you shouldn't do it. Just wondering what's the purpose.

Cool, you should be able to get excellent FPS with that setup and According to Tom's recent review of multiple card setups three is way better than two when it comes to microstutter.
