Hello,
I encountered this problem while gaming so I decided to do a CPU+GPU stress test.

Around 5th minute of the test the motherboard +5V voltage drops to 4.5V, the HDD makes shutdown sounds periodically for every 1s and the PC freezes. Also there is a slight burning smell in PC-chasis but i can't detect from which component it comes. However if I restart the PC it opens perfectly.

CPU and GPU were not overclocked during the tests and the temparatures were fine
CPU: 62 °C
GPU: 71°C

-So i suspect (more probably) PSU or motherboard is damaged. But how can I be sure which component is faulty ?

-Is there any other test programs you would recommend for this kind of situation (because PC opens fine) ?

My system is 5 years old:
-Amd fx 8350 (no overclock)
-Gtx 970 (no overclock)
-8Gb, 1866MHz Ram
-Asus m5a99fx pro r2.0
-Seagate 1TB HDD
-OCZ 650W 80+ bronze PSU
