Motherboard and cpu compatibility

hi guys so i have a GA-M68MT-S2 am3+ motherboard and according to this page

it says the motherboard supports up to 95 watt

but people who have the same motherboard say that they were able to run a phenom cpu that is 125w.

I just ordered phenom 980 which is 125w and i want to know if it will be compatible with the motherboard..

Since the 980 is on the supported CPU list for that motherboard, you should be fine.
If not, you may just need to contact Gigabyte in case you need a BIOS update.
I imagine they've tested that processor on that board to give it the OK to be on the supported CPU list.

If not, they owe you a deal on a replacement board.
