Hey guys I’m pretty new at the whole building computers and forums scene so I’m here to ask a few questions that I can't seem to find the answers to. But basically I am building my first PC and have watched quite a few videos online as to how to find if parts are compatible with one another, and then to run them through sites that check if they are compatible, to see if anything pops up. I fully know that these sites are not 100% percent accurate which is why I am taking other measures to make sure they are.

What I need some help with is i've found that some H170 Motherboards need an update to be compatible with Kaby Lake CPUs. If I were to order them both and it's not with that update, how would I install this update onto the motherboard?

Any help would be Much appreciated thank you :)

Edit: Here is the pc part picker that was requested.
I am looking for a pc in the 1500 price range that can pump AAA games and fps, any tips I could do to change to match this would be great :)

You've left out some details about your parts (e.g. 2133Mhz Hyperx memory could be DDR4 or DDR3). One will work, one will not. I'd build this out on PCPartpicker.com and share the link. That would make it easier for us to look at and analyze without having to look up each part.

PCPartpicker also gives the best prices from numerous vendors. While you may have found better prices, it gives us something to work with, if you are interested in any input on your particular part selection. For example: Newegg has the AMD RX580 8G for about $190. All things being equal, I'd take an RX580 over a 1060, but a strong argument can be made that the 1060 is better. Theyy are both pretty close. However, it would be hard for me to understand paying 40% more for a 1060 than a 580, so unless you've found a better price than I, that's a questionable choice. I'm not sure if you want that kind of input or not.

The incompatibility question is a good one. My MB allows me to update from the BIOS without a CPU and it is a 6 year old board. I would hope that all of them can update from the bios in 2019, but I wouldn't bet on it. That would be a worthwhile question for manufacturer support or the vendor. Without knowing which bios version your MB is on, it's hard to say for sure. Also, even if the CPU is temporarily incompatible, will it prevent you from getting to the MB's bios for an update? Get vendor support on record with the answer before buying.

Hope this helps. Share more info if you want and good luck.

I am buying these parts new, If I could get any more performance out of the newer ones, while not paying almost double that would be good. I also added pc part picker in the original question.
