For some reason I'm having a real bad overheating problems since a month or so. The only way to fix it is cap my CPU power at 70%, my motherboard temperature drops same time as CPU. I have used different programs to check my temps, Open Hardware Monitor, Speccy, HWmonitor and else stuff but all showing me the same problem, I have to admit it's started since I bought a new CPU(thermal paste set just fine), My old one was AMD Athlon X2 250 and current is AMD Phenom II x4 955 and as fast as I installed it I'm having troubles with overheat, could it be that my Motherboard(ASUS M3N78-VM(AM2)) is not up to date?

Spend 200 dollars as its a good investment were you won't have to overclock. As well as the competents being outdated.
